finale playback file exists as an audience-readable score, digital playback, and live performance. In an electroacoustic duet, the trumpet soloist plays a live part viewable in the score while Finale plays back the notated bass accompaniment material. Beginning as an improvised rhythm changes tune, the notation and playback of the file glitches and collapses, breaking down into a form of Black Midi with cursed notation.
